This is lovely. Ugh, our Toby. And this B character! I’m intrigued.

Sara!! Thank you! Ha!! Yes our Toby is a little bit of a disaster. Aren’t we all sometimes!

I love your style, it's so vivid and fresh! Really identify with Toby's thoughts regarding the group presentations--a barrage of reminders that life is a struggle.

Sweet, thanks Will! I wondered if you’d stumble into this specific piece. I took some educated guesses on how the set and dialog would play out never having participated in group therapy myself. (I don’t think I could make it through for the very same reason why *your* work resonates with me!)

Your educated guesses are spot on! I got the sense that Toby has some compassion fatigue--that he cares about others and can understand their strife but he has seen so much of it and he has grown tired.

YES that's exactly it! And you get it. You definitely get it.

As always, such an enjoyable reading experience! As another introverted empath who often feels like emotional Swiss cheese, I’m really feeling for Toby here, and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him.

Also I would IMMEDIATELY sign up for a class on banned music! How fascinating that would be. 🤤🤤🤤

YES! Some Uni out there has got to offer something like this.

Gah, good! My writing is doing the thing I need it to do! THANK YOU Michael! 'Tis the bittersweet life we lead (but thank God for music to get us through it, which may or may not be related to the "third thing" I do next.....more to come! Thanks for stickin around!!)
